Tummy Tuck

Tummy Tuck

Tummy Tuck, medical known as, abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure designed to tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall and remove excess fat and skin from the middle and lower abdomen. Abdominoplasty results often dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding stomach. The results from tummy tuck surgery are generally highly satisfactory for women, despite some  permanent scarring that will be visible  in the least conspicuous location possible. Alternatively, a partial tummy tuck, also known as, a “mini-tummy tuck”, may be appropriate for candidates with limited fat deposits in the area below the naval. This procedure is less complex and the scar may be reduced in length when compared to the traditional tummy tuck. Abdominoplasty is usually performed in our accredited surgical facilities under general anesthesia. Arrangements for someone to drive you home after the surgery and to help you for a day or two following are required. Most people return to work in two to three weeks following surgery.
